We're just a little bit chuffed to announce that our 2014 Chanters Ridge Pinot Noir has won a gold medal and the trophy for Best Pinot Noir at the 2015 Macedon Ranges Wines exhibition. And all of this before we've had a chance to label it.
This beautiful wine was made for us by Adam Marks of Bress, and had just arrived into the cellar door, unlabelled, the day before we needed to finalise our entries for the wines exhibition.
Just a sip told us we had something truly special on our hands, so we made the call to enter it into the exhibition with a makeshift label. It certainly wasn't the best looking wine bottle in the competition but thanks to a blind tasting all was forgiven, and this beautiful wine walked away with a gold medal and the trophy for Best Pinot Noir.
